Electro is the new black. Trance and House are still going to be as hot as ever but Electro is sneaking its way all over onto trance and house sets and dancefloors. Expect to here more electro house, electro trance, electro/progressive.
If you have heard Fedde Le Grand's "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit" (the electro anthem of the year) then you know its getting bigger and bigger. I think its a very promising genre. When I heard essential mixes and DJ sets (and I hear Gabriel & Dresden's sets) and I hear an electro track I got admit they flow well with the trance/house/progressive flow pretty well. Expect to hear much more. Don't worry though Trance and House and Prog will definitely still be very dominant but I think its great that these genres are incorporating changing styles and new genre influences and each other. Its making for some great music. Bring it on!
